Description:

In this episode Bethany interviews her soul sister Katrina Stevens. Episodes where we interview dear friends always include an extra dose of shared memories but also a whole lot of laughter! Katrina is a one in a million kind of girl, who is bubbly and friendly, but also isn’t afraid to talk about her past mistakes because she is covered in God’s grace. She tells it like it is, about living as a rebellious teen, to having an INCREDIBLE encounter with the Lord, having a hard first year of marriage and even talking about struggles with weight. You don’t want to miss this interview, Katrina is awesome!

Burnout & Boundaries with Kristine Rego - Ep 18

Jul 24, 2017 45:22

Description:

Today Bethany interviews our friend Kristine Rego! Kristine is near and dear to us for so many reasons, but she is also one of the co founders of our girls conference, Simply Beautiful! (http://www.simplybeautifulconference.com/) Kristine is part of a church campus plant in Saratoga NY, and shares about what it looks like to uproot your life and how life looks as you help plant a new church! Kristine also talks openly and honestly about walking through an intense season of depression, anxiety and burnout, and how she took a month off of work to rest. Burnout, depression and anxiety aren’t things that most circles aren’t talking about, but a lot of people are walking through. We are so appreciative of Kristine for being transparent and vulnerable about her story and we hope it will encourage you as you run your race in your place.

Serving the Deaf Community & Walking Through Loss with Nancy Maguire Heath - Ep. 06

May 1, 2017 40:48

Description:

Jenn interviews Nancy Maguire Heath. Nancy is the Director of a School for Deaf Children in Providence RI and we learned so much about the deaf community. It was inspiring to hear Nancy’s passion for deaf people!

Nancy shares with us about her husband’s diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis and walking through a double lung transplant and the challenges they face and how her faith in God sustains her.

Nancy gives some practical advice on being stepmom, especially to not take things personal.

I am so thankful that Nancy shared with us about her three marriages. Her vulnerability and honesty I think will help anyone walking some of the same roads. She shares about walking through the grief of two of those marriages and has some helpful hints on how to help someone walking through grief. Nancy is an incredible lady and we think you will enjoy hearing from her!
